How to Teach Your Cat to do Tricks
Cat training sounds like a joke to many of us, especially to cat lovers. And ironically, if you Google ‘cats training’ one of the top search suggestions you see would be ‘cats training their humans.’ That is funny, but it’s also true to a certain degree.
Cats can change the lives of their people. Cat owners are ready and willing to change their habits, family budgets, regular schedules and many parts of daily routine for their pets. But on top of that, cats become real friends and great family members to those who love and appreciate them. Cats are good listeners. And even though they always pretend to be the ‘Master of the House’, in reality they adore their owners, and a ready to do some tricks for a special treat or just for fun.
So, if at any point in the future you plan to teach your cat some cool tricks (in addition to those all cats should know by default) get yourself and your little friend ready from the very beginning by establishing good and trustworthy relationships.

My cat knows all of these tricks but one, and unfortunately the inappropriate trick on this infographic is very harmful in many ways. Cats should never be taught to use the toilet. Their instinct is to bury their pee and poop and taking that away is not only cruel but it leads to peeing and pooping in inappropriate places later. What happens when the cat is a senior and cannot balance on the toilet? What happens if the cat falls in and gets scared or even worse, injured or drowned? The number one reason cats end up in shelters is inappropriate pee and poop problems. Sticking with a litter box is healthier, safer, and kinder to everyone!
